Observer, Collector, Writer –
A woman sits alone in a cluttered bedroom.
Books are stacked atop whatever flat surface will make room, a mug of hours old coffee (or is it tea?) sits unattended, a muted rerun of Xena: Warrior Princess plays on the television.
Elsewhere in the house, a cat chatters at birds through a window.
The woman, known virtually as SK, stares at an open word document, eyes blinded by the empty white page. Her fingers stay perched and poised over the laptop keys, ready to strike once the muse takes hold. The same three lines of that one song are on loop in her head.
and she looks dead as shit…
SK is an internet veteran, fandom elder (who can say if this is an honor or cringe atp?), and vaguely out of touch adult who loathes the uniformity and acceleration of current day technology.
When time permits, SK writes fiction (occasionally of the fan variety). Her primary works in progress are an interactive fantasy novel, a fantasy romance novel, and a literary gothic novel. Perhaps some of these projects will show their heads here, should we be so lucky.
In addition to composing and composting ideas, SK spends her free time reading, watching old films, building houses in The Sims 4, and pulling herself from the brink of applying to grad school. In another life, she believes, she would be a Medieval Historian, or Meteorologist.
